Igor Levit is one of the greatest pianists of our time. For the 2025 Wellendorff Family Magazine, Igor met with Christoph Wellendorff at the Hotel Adlon in Berlin. In a very personal conversation, they spoke about the magic of music, the unconditional love for their work and the power that arises when art and craftsmanship converge.

When Igor Levit slipped a Wellendorff spinning ring over his finger for the first time, he sat down at the piano. A touching moment that will be remembered forever. "This is the softest ring I've ever worn," he said – impressed by the lightness and flexibility of the piece of jewellery.

In conversation with Christoph Wellendorff, Igor Levit discovered the symbolic power of the spinning feature, which represents infinity, constant change and the dynamism of life. Levit himself described it as such: "I don't think within limits, I think in processes. After one comes the next, then the next."
