With the opening of our first boutique in Seoul, we are writing a new chapter in our 130-year history. In the heart of the luxurious Galleria Department Store in the Gangnam district, the home of elegance and aesthetic flair, two cultures meet. Germany and Korea have more in common than you might think at first glance, highly valuing a sense of aesthetics, precision and emotional depth.
In a market that has long been used to Western brands, Korean customers are now looking for something special – products with substance, history and authenticity. “In Korea, we are seeing a new sentiment: luxury is no longer just about a visible logo, but also a silent harmony with the inner mindset,” says Wellendorff. “We see this change as an invitation.”
Discipline, dedication, daily striving for perfection – values that are upheld in Korea. And that also shape every piece of Wellendorff jewellery. It is no coincidence that a new Wellendorff boutique has now opened here of all places, in a culture with a deep tradition of craftsmanship and beauty.
The new boutique reflects a quiet but powerful connection: between German precision and Korean aesthetics, between family history and a vision of the future. Warm materials, organic shapes and the famous Diamond-W – a symbol of attention to detail – characterise the new jewellery boutique. Our three icons are presented: the world’s softest necklace, spinning rings with emotional meaning and flexible gold.
For Wellendorff, Korea is far more than just a new market. It is a place where the values of the manufactory find a new home – characterised by respect, dedication and the pursuit of perfection. The opening in Seoul is a milestone – and the start of a special relationship.
