The collector's item gets its special appearance from a unique engraving design. With an impressive 30 engraving levels, instead of the usual two or three, the 2024 Ring of the Year is given an extraordinary impression of depth. The finely engraved lines unite to form three-dimensional facets and create an optical pyramid that sparkles as it reflects the incident light.
Eight eye-catching shades of Wellendorff cold enamel are carefully applied by hand to the Ring of the Year's 72 individual surfaces. In order to obtain the exquisite colours, the dyes are weighed down to the nearest thousandth of a gram.
A fascinating contrast is created thanks to the precise setting of over 50 sparkling diamonds in ten different sizes. When setting the ring, the jewel setter constantly switches between different drill bits, milling cutters, gravers and beading tools. Greater effort for an impressive effect.
A small heart made of white ceramic sets it apart. Subtly embedded in the geometric engraving design, it stands for a very special moment of happiness in 2024.
The limited series number engraved on the inside of the ring makes this piece of jewellery a very personal and exclusive companion. For just 224 women around the world.
The family business began creating a specific Ring of the Year in 1997 ‒ a special ring with its own significance. The limited editions reflect the respective year. Only a few women worldwide carry these unique messages in their hearts and on their fingers.
The beginning of the Wellendorff Rings of the Year: Inspired by the return of the British Colony of Hong Kong to the People's Republic of China, this siren red ring with golden bauhinia flowers – the symbol on the flag of Hong Kong – was created in 1997.
